ResoLute Magazine
Technically, my writing for Pacific Lutheran University’s ResoLute Magazine is not part of my freelance portfolio. As part of my 9-5 as PLU’s director of communications, I’m fortunate to serve as the magazine’s editor and a primary feature writer. Some of the favorite pieces that I’ve written have been for ResoLute, so I thought I’d share a few of them here.

Weekly Volcano
From 2011-2013 I was a regular contributor to the Weekly Volcano, the alternative weekly in Tacoma Pierce County. When the paper was sold and shut down only a handful of the 100+ pieces I wrote for the paper made it to an archive. Lots of pieces about arts and film are gone, a handful old stories about Tacoma politics live on.

Misc. Magazines and Newspapers
I’ve written one-off pieces for a number of other newspapers and magazines, primarily in the Seattle/Tacoma area. Some of those have been lost over the years, and some of them are still hanging out online.
